The New Century Leadership Secondary School was founded by Otgonbat Barkhuu who is also the founder and chairman of board of the Global Leadership University (www.glu.edu.mn), one of the leading private institutions of higher learning in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. In 2012, NCLHS was upgraded to the status of secondary school, offering educational programs in elementary, middle and high school levels. Mr Otgonbat Barkhuu is a successful entrepreneur, author of several best-selling books and a politician in Mongolia with a vision to bring prosperity to Mongolia through a reformed education system, globally competitive economy and knowledge-based society. In efforts to help the future leaders of Mongolia, Otgonbat has helped over 4500 dedicated Mongolian students to study abroad on a scholarship program in the United States, South Korea and Taiwan and raised over 5 million dollars in scholarship funding. The vision of the founder is to create a knowledge-based economy in Mongolia through sending at least 10,000 students abroad in high technology and high value sectors and bringing them back to create a strong, export driven and cluster-based economy that will be the basis of Mongolia’s sustained democracy and national prosperity. Mr Otgonbat has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Dickinson State University in the United States and a graduate diploma in international travel/tourism management from the University of Queensland in Australia and in 2016, he graduated with a Master of Public Administration degree from Harvard University.
